Internships at GAC are opportunities for people interested in the outdoor
industry to learn about the operational responsibilities of an outdoor school.
First: Ask yourself 'Do I have a
deep passion for the outdoors ?'
Second: 'Am I strongly motivated to help other lesser experienced travelers in having a great time on their trips ?'
Basically, our 1st & foremost priority is to find people who are passionate about outdoor adventures such as trekking, overlands and who are eager to learn, experience, innovate, and share their outdoor skills and knowledge's with others.
If we feel that you do not have sufficient experience, we will give you the opportunities you need to be competent in the outdoors. What you need is an voracious appetite to soak up all available knowledge, skills, and experience you can lay your hands on. In other words, you need to have commitment.
We don't expect people to apply for a trek-leading job just to make money. Rather, we prefer candidates whose motivation for leading is their passionate interest in adventure travel & the outdoors, and who believe that the rewards of this work experience far exceed the value of any monetary compensation that could be obtained in a hum-drum job in the office !
